Project Case Studies

Flash is a very powerfull piece of software which has aided me in the development of many high quality projects. I was approached by one of my clients West Indian International Tours (WIIT) to help them out with an issue. They had some memory sticks that they wanted to give to some of their clients and they wanted me to create something to put on these sticks, using information on the their website. 

The first idea that came to mind was a cool image slide show that showed various information on the business. However, after analysing the content i had to work with, I decided to create an electronic Brochure, kind of like a small online booklet. The main feature of the Electronic Brochure was the realistic page turn effect, which is seen when ever you turn a page. 

The Electronic Brochure consisted of some opensoure flash scripts, which were extensively modified to create the final product. In addition the the realistic page turn effect, the ebrochure includes very well designed pages as well as a simple, easy to use navigation. If you don't feel like manually turning the pages, you can use the buttons and links below to navigate.

Once the final product was completed, the last thing to do was put it on the memory sticks. As an added feature, I created an autorun file and icon to make the eBorchure open as soon as the person sticks the memory stick in their PC. The Client would eventually phase out these memory sticks and use CD's instead.

The Electronic brochure was a success and the client loved it. It took me a while to create, mainly due to the 70+ pages I had to create, but the job must be done. Check out the Interactive Brochure in action here. 

The flash script used for this project can be modified to create a magazine, ebook or any similar project. Contact me if anyone is interested in having something like this done.
