If you are a beginner and want one book which is short and easy to understand, I would highly recommend this book.
The author has highlighted many common mistakes which are done by highly paid webmasters and designers in the past on millions of websites.
In the first part of this book author has explained various terms which are most commonly used in the field of Search engine optimization (SEO), many with the help of photos.
In the second part of the book author has presented 7 step-plan for search engine optimization, step by step along with lots of practical examples and photos. 7 steps explained are the most crucial ones for the search engines optimization. Highly recommended for beginners!

I am a non technical person and had a very little knowledge about SEO. Our company website was designed by a reputed webdesigner yet it wasnt ranking well in the google.
Everytime we sit and discuss with our designer about our website ranking and we were told some or the other reason for ranking well about which we didnt have any clue.
I have read all the other books written by Mr Subodh Gupta and liked his simple and straightforward style and was extremly happy to find that he has written book on SEO as well.
I ordered the book one for myself and other for my webdesigner and have followed the 7 steps plan for SEO as described in the book. I must say that not only our website ranking has improved over the period of 3 months but also I am able to manage our web designer effectively about the SEO work they are doing for our website.
I would like to say, at least for myself, that being a non IT person I find this book very useful and easy to understand. I personally highly recommend this book to anybody who is beginner in the field of SEO and would like to understand the SEO in the shortest possible time.
